Warm Reminder

Every ceramic piece is handcrafted and fired at high temperatures—this "forging in fire" process is precisely what makes handcrafted ceramics so unique and precious. Due to the nature of handcrafting and high-temperature firing, minor small holes, air bubbles, or spots may appear on the glaze of some pieces. These marks are normal for handmade ceramics, cannot be completely avoided, and are not quality defects; they will not affect daily use. If you are seeking a completely flawless appearance, we recommend considering carefully before purchasing.

Introduction to Bone China

Bone china is a high-end ceramic material, named for the addition of animal bone powder (usually bovine bone powder, with a content of over 25%) to clay. It combines practicality and aesthetic value. Its texture is fine and translucent, emitting a warm milky white luster under light, and producing a clear, melodious sound when tapped, fully demonstrating an elegant texture.

From a health perspective, high-quality bone china contains no harmful substances such as lead or cadmium. After being fired at high temperatures, it has a stable structure, making it safe for holding hot tea, coffee, etc. in daily use. Its smooth surface is easy to clean and does not easily retain stains. In terms of environmental protection and durability, bone china is harder than ordinary ceramics, with strong impact resistance and a longer service life, reducing resource waste caused by frequent replacement. Whether for daily home use, as tableware for entertaining guests, or as a gift, bone china can enhance the quality of life with its unique texture and appearance, becoming a symbol of a refined lifestyle.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  1. Hand washing is recommended. If hand washing is not preferred, use a dishwasher with a "China & Crystal" washing function.
  2. For tableware marked with gold components, do not put them in the microwave (unless labeled as "microwave-safe for gold parts") to avoid gold peeling.
  3. Choose detergents with a pH value between 11 and 11.5.
  4. When rinsing with clean water, the water temperature is best not to exceed 80°C (176°F).
  5. Do not immerse a hot cup directly in cold water, as rapid temperature changes may damage the ceramic.
  6. If the product has slight scratches, gently polish with toothpaste to reduce the scratch marks.
  7. For tea stains, clean with lemon juice or vinegar.
  8. Avoid extreme temperature changes during use to prevent cracking.
  9. Do not place directly on an open flame for heating (except for casserole-style products).
  10. Bone china is relatively delicate and requires careful maintenance.
  11. Avoid excessive temperature alternations when using bone china. For example, when pouring boiling water into bone china, first rinse the cup with warm water, then pour in the boiling water to prevent cracking.
