  1. Warm the Wares

Rinse the gaiwan and cups with boiling water to raise the temperature and release trapped air, so the floral-fruity aroma opens up better.

  2. Add Tea & Smell

Place 3–5 g of dry buds into the gaiwan, give it a gentle shake, and first enjoy the dandelion top note and white-lemon fruitiness.

  3. Rinse & Awaken

Pour 85–90°C water slowly along the inner wall, give it a quick rinse and pour out to awaken the buds.

  4. Steep & Pour

Infuse the first three brews for 5–8 seconds and pour quickly; add 5–10 seconds per later steep to savor the honeyed sweetness and wild mountain-terroir character.

Tip: Purple buds are unoxidized sun-dried tips — use 85–90°C water and avoid boiling water, which can draw out bitterness and astringency. Pour quickly and never over-steep, so the bright yellow-green liquor and top-tier sweetness stay intact.

The Tea Garden

The Tea Garden

Wild Purple Bud Tea comes from Yunnan's high-mountain wild tea region. The tea trees grow in natural companionship with moss and mixed woodland, with no fertilizer and no pesticides — grey-white lichen coats the branches, the truest signature of a wild ecosystem.

Every early spring, each branch naturally puts forth a single purple-red bud; it is picked only once a season, with a short window and limited yield. The high-mountain mist and wide day-night temperature swings let the inner compounds accumulate slowly, giving these ancient-tree purple buds their distinctive wild mountain-terroir character.

The Tea Tree

The Tea Tree

Purple buds are a natural mutation of the young tea shoot — their anthocyanin content is far higher than ordinary green buds. The buds are plump purple-red with faint silver tips, and that is precisely the source of the purple bud's wild character and floral-fruity aroma.

From ancient-tree material, only the fullest and most even single buds of early spring are taken. The fresh leaves go through picking — light rolling — sun-drying, preserving the natural floral-fruity aroma and anthocyanins to the maximum. Highly durable, the leaves stay lively and fragrant with a wild floral note even after ten-plus infusions.
